I have 2 problems with my 1928 Cadillac 341A
1. Age cracks in the headlight and Trippe light rims, &
2. Pitting in the exhaust manifolds & cross over pipe.

Can anyone offer a solution as to how best tackle these 2 problems.

I will re nickel the brightwork, and re porcelain the exhaust pieces.

KEN, I really dont know how to answer your questions except to say that the cracks should be "stop-drilled" prior to welding any cracks. As for the exhaust manifolds "pits" since you said that you would re-porcelain the exh. manifolds, maybe you could deposit some metal in the pits with a welder and grind smoove prior to re porcelaining them.

Good Luck, JIM

Dear Jim,
Many thanks for your reply. My memory must be fading the longer that I work on this vehicle.  This matter has already been addressed in a question that I asked many months ago.
