I have the opportunity to buy a 1975 Cadillac Deville.  It is one owner with 50,000 original miles on it.  It is in almost perfect condition with no rust, original vinyl roof, and everything mechanical functions.  Is it worth $4500-$5000 purchase price?  Thanks for the info.

Based on your description of "almost perfect" condition, this car sounds like a very good value for that price.  This model is a true four-door hardtop (the last one being 1976), and they are very nice driving cars.

One thing to remember on GM cars of that era: rust around the rear window is very common and can be hidden by the vinyl roof and the vinyl roof can contribute to rust there and on the rest of the roof.
