Hi all,

Im the proud new owner of a 71 Eldo convertible.  Im puttering around with it, and one problem it has is that the courtesy (interior) lights do not turn on when either front door is opened.  They work fine with the headlight knob.  I doubt that it is the actual switches, since I think it would be unusual for both of them to be bad.  The seat releases work fine on both sides.

Anyone have any suggestions?  It sounds like something is just unplugged, but I cant find where it is.

Hi,

Get a schematic, follow the wires, or first pull the door switches out and jump them and see if they are bad. You might then have to trace them (I cant see them both going but then again it is 35 years old)
