I am in the process of installing new weatherstripping and am wondering which way the rubber strip mounts that attaches to the metal strip that screws to the hinge area on the door frame.  This is the flat rubber strip with what can be best described as a "fin" that protrudes out from the surface and contacts the door post when the door closes.  Does the "fin" top point inward toward the passenger compartment, or outward toward the exterior of the car?  Anyone replaced theirs recently?

Thanks,

Anthony

I replaced mine a few years ago,and the old original piece had the "fin" facing the interior.

Thanks Jack; that was what I needed to know.
