So I bought my 3 year old daughter a dvd entitled The New Adventures of Pippi Longstocking. I noticed an early 40's blue Cadillac in the movie. Just curious as to what the year and model of the Cadillac. Any ideas?
And No fellas, the dvd was not for me, honestly...ha ha

I thought the Pippi Longstocking stories took place in the teens or twenties. I don't have kids and haven't seen the movie so maybe they've updated it or something. Can you post a screen shot with the car now that you've got us all curious? or me anyway.

I just looked on the back of the dvd case and the copyright date is 1988 Columbia Pictures so I'm guessing its just a remake of one of the originals. I will see if I can post a screen shot later on. The weather here in Colorado is supposed to really nice today with a high of 58 degrees. I have to take advantage of the weather and take  my 59 baby out for a ride before it gets too cold

The first books were published in the late forties so maybe it was set in what was then, modern times. I looked for pictures from  the movie on the internet but couldn't find any.

Don't know if this is where you looked, but it's where I'd start

PS - this way you don't even have to buy (or watch!) the movie!

Otto Skorzeny

Yes.

They only listed the 1969 movie which I recalled. They drove a Model T in it.

This is the dvd cover of the movie I am referring to. As I mentioned previously, the car looks like an early 40's Caddy

This wasn't too hard to do - screen snapshots. There are quite a number of classic cars in the movie - I've only put a few in (from the first half of the movie).  The only Cadillac I can pick is a black 1947 limo?  Over to the experts for this and the rest!

Ross.

Two more screen shots.  Ross.
