What color back side of 1937 bumpers?

Question:
What color can you use on the back side of chromed bumpers to finish them off? Does it come in spray cans? Should it match the eggcrate grey of the grille? If so, what color is that, and what brand?

As I recall the back side of bumpers at that time were also chrome plated but the metal was not smoothed & polished like the front so spraying the back with silver enamel should resemble the original.
