Good news on my 69 I just bought .  Brought it to my mechanic for NYS inspection today.  Needed a front brake hose, then passed! $35 for hose plus 1/2 hr labor.   I had my mechanic do a thorough check of car and looks good.

  • My secondaries were bogging when getting on the car, so he adjusted the air damper.  Also made some other adjustments on the carb (Choke was sticking so was rough starting when cold).     $39
  • Also had him do an oil change as I didn't feel like getting my other cars off of the lift.  $26
    • The AC was not cold.  My car was already converted to 134a, so added 5lbs!!  ($100) Added AC oil too.  Vacuum held.  Blows nice and cold now, especially in rear area.   Anyone know capacity for the limo?  Still waiting for my shop manuals.

Otherwise just a few issues left:
    • Middle airs vent in front don't blow, just top window defrost and lower by feet.  Any idea why just the middle would not blow?
      • Rear windows don't go down.  Took apart the front driver door lock assembly and found some plastic zip ties on the switch.  My guess is front switch is bad.  Drivers window intermittantly goes down too, need to wiggle switch.  Rear switches don't lower the windows either, so could a bad 4 way front switch cause this?  Would be surpised if both rear motors were bad.
      • Partition switch on one side doesn't work, other OK.  Probably bad switch.

Anyone know if build sheets on the car are under rear seat like other cars?

    Thanks!
