I was just looking at a '95 Deville for a daily driver to replace my '97 Deville (the '97 has 157k and four years ago the head gasket blew and I had better studs put in).  The '95 has a 4.9 liter in it with 112k.  It runs great.  Any opinions about the last year of the 4.9?  I have heard a lot of bad things, but at this point I am thinking it would be better than an early Northstar.  Thanks for any input, I need some facts to temper my buying another Cadillac excitement!

All in all the 4.9 was less problematic than the N'Star.
