I'm upgrading my '40 60 S with an alternator, and then air conditioning.  I've already got the alternator mounted in place of the original generator, and was able to source a wide V pulley for the alternator.

I'm not having much luck finding a ready source for the wider V belts.  The alternator sits just a bit higher due to its width, so the original length belt won't work.

Any thoughts for sources?

The best place for the wider series belts is Tractor and Industrial transmission suppliers.

These usually sell belts in matched pairs as most industrial engines use twin belts.

For others edification,

I've found several nice sources of the wider belts, at about half the price of the Cadillac-specialists.

First, go to the Goodyear "Gatorback" belt application site to determine the part number for the desired length of your belt:  http://www.goodyearep.com/productsdetail.aspx?id=11752.

Then go to a retailer who supplies these belts.  I've found two good sources:
