I am making an inspection of my 1938 60S Cadillac .
There is a lot of used woods for the seat, trim and body.

Which wooden species are used in my Caddy?  birch, beech, oak, maple, fir, cedar etc.
Which treatment to preserve them? Paint, oil, cure.
Thanks in advance  :)

Salut Dominique,

J'ai utilisé "ash" (en anglais) pour les pieces entre le plancher de la carrosserie et le haut de l'ossature.

Le CD va suivre bientot, mon ami!

Not sure how you get it in France but International Paints "Everdure", a two part boat builders product, is the best of the best for timber preservation. Just use it outdoors!

Great,
I like the CLC Forum and the reactivity of its members. :)
I have still one ton of questions to ask for the restoration of my 1938 60S
Thanks to you all
