Likely one of the best if not, the best '60 Biarritz. Love the triple-black. Loaded car too.

Owned by a CLCer- no affiliation.

*Not crazy about the mods- even if higher grade than original issue- but that's just one man's opinion.

this guy really knows cadillacs, after all,his best on the planet 71 has the last high compression engine, funny since that was in 70,not 71 one might wonder about that 60 with the repop body tag?

R Schroeder

OK Eric, I like this black one. I like all of the cars this guy owns. Everyone I have seen is perfect.

62droptop

sure does look like one sweet ride

upi cannot fake a poor body job with mile deep black paint

bet that paint job would cost a dollar or two to  reproduce

car probably never left the factory that straight

This car is nice , but I have seen allot better it is not #1 condition as the seller claims there are far to many faults .
look at the underside pictures & under the engine bay & trunk does not even come close to being a #1 car. I would call it a good Driver.
Anyone looking at it should be very cautious & ask to see the Vin # on the frame & engine Number as the plastic tag is repo & the trim tag under the hood is an obvious repo also.
I feel it is fair to be critical about this car as the seller claims it to be a #1 & it is clearly not the seller obviously does not know the meaning of a #1 car. And with a price tag of 220K , I know you could get a much better car a lot lot lot lot cheaper.

I have to agree with Grant.  Too many questions arise if you look in detail.

This could have been a perfect #1 car -- the paint job looks gorgeous but
it has too many obvious authenticity faults.

If entered into a CLC Grand National it would have a tough time winning a
first in Primary.

I just keep looking at it thinking of all of the things that would have to
be changed to make it "correct".  The engine compartment is a travesty.
Too many modifications.  Ditto with the interior, the wheels, trunk etc.
The seller is either stupid or being intentionally dishonest.

I'm also suspect of the repro body trim tag.  It may not even be a "real"
Eldorado.  I've seen many fakes in 25 years of judging (series 62's remade
as Eldorados).

These questions should't even arise if you're asked to spend $220K.

Now don't get me wrong, the car is very pretty, but it's not correct and not
a "1 car".  If that doesn't bother you, then write your check.

I read the explanation before, in fact I have checked out most of Matt Garrett's website.  The man has some primo cars for sure.  He knows the car is over restored and the chrome bits under the hood are over the top, but the rest of the car is breathtaking, at least in my opinion.

$220,000.00?  Never gonna happen, but who knows.  I guess that's his "magic number" and that's what it would take to part with that car.

No knowledgeable collector would pay $220K especially after reading his
long description of what was and was not done during his "restoration".

It will be interesting to see if it sells.

After reading the long description I have now changed my opinion of the car.
I would now consider it an amateur restoration.

Hard for me to get excited about anything owned by a guy whose primary product (per the website) is selling those intrusive marketing demon-dialers!

Hi Guys,
Well, if it's an amateur restoration, I sure hope my '58 looks like it when it's done!!  Especially the paint..... I personally like the added touches under the hood and the wheels.  But for 220k, it had better be as new with no modifications and win 100 points easily in every show.

George, I know want you mean about storing parts. I have the same issue (lol). I just can't pass-up a good NOS part for my 84 Eldo.
