still trying to figure out gas feed from firewall to carb . where does the spring go. this is a manual transmission thanks john

Please look at attached pictures which should answer your question. The front of the spring attaches to the carb as pictured and the other end attaches to a hole in a small arm that is attached to the bolt holding the cross over exhaust.
