Pat,  I'm no expert on the 1940's Cadillacs but I haven't seen any photos of anything close to that shape. However, they appear to look a lot more like a Chrysler product, particularly 1946-1948 Town and Country. Check them out when you Google 1946-1948 Chrysler Town & Country, click on images of.                             Good Luck,   David Symonds
