Hello

I'm sitting in a fantastic class held by Bill Anderson. EVERY new owner of a Cadillac or LaSalle should listen to Bill BEFORE the purchase of an old car. Honest advice and guidance from an experienced expert restorer.
All good men own a Cadillac but great gentlemen drive a LaSalle. That is the consequence of success.

Has the CLC considered video taping these workshops and having them available to members on-line?

As part of the IT Committee I recorded most of the seminars from last year at St Augustione and posted to the CLC YouTube channel at http://www.youtube.com/cadillaclasalleclub. There are so many this year one person cannot record all of them. I did record (and will post) the excellent presentation on 'Restoration of a 1949 Cadillac' by Joe Cutler today.   These video files are huge and will take me a few days to post. I do hope to record at least 2 more seminars tomorrow.
Jason.

Yes sir CR, excellent class.
One thing that stuck in my brain was when you acquire your car to restore, just park the car in the garage and cogitate on it for 30 days. Get to know the car, read the manuals, owners, body, shop, and any other manual you can find on your car. Don't disassemble as soon as it arrives.

Tony Lux gave the class on brake systems. Also a very informative glass.
Tony brought up something (I think it was Tony) we seldom think of when we upgrade our brakes. That is when for instance when you switch to a dual master cylinder, and later an accident happens unrelated to brake upgrade, your claim may be denied. Why? Because you've altered a federal compliant system to one not approved. We all know a dual is safer, but if you can be denied a claim because of it, should we even do an upgrade for risk of being turned down later? Hmmm, interesting. May call my carrier and ask some ??.
