Barry:

You will notice the car in the data book photo does not have a division window, where the car that was thought formerly to be the Bradley car in COF appears to have one.

Is that picture on the assembly line a 1941 60S? The fenders don't appear to fade into the doors...

Joe:

A couple of possible explanations: it is a 1940 60S or since the rear fender isn't on the car,the front fender and its door extension piece have not been installed yet either.

Yes, this is the shot I was speaking of. It's strange how memory hits you. I could have sworn that only the rear door was shown. Thank you Tito, for your sharing of this rare artifact.

Given the photo date of Sept something or other, I will call Carl and have him see if he can pin down which car this actually is. It might be the "Bumble Bee" one that was a shade of yellow with a  black top.

The belt molding from a Series 72 could have been applied, if it's a late 1940. In looking at the photo again, I think the car must be a 1940 as on the light color, the holes for the door cap would show. I don't think they would have waited to drill them with the interior already in the car, which you can see the top of the back seat. Also, the door skin die would have been altered to have the holes pre-drilled. In any case, I'll call Carl and have him check the first bunch of cars up to that date.
