I need to replace the tube from the exhaust manifold to the choke on a flathead v-8.
Does it matter what material is used ? Copper steel aluminum ?

I've got copper and steel on my cars, never seen aluminum though.

Aluminum is what you get if you go to a parts store.   Its sold under the Doorman / Help line.

Thank you for the comments. Mine had aluminum but it looked terrible. Bends all pinched almost closed.
I could not find the same material so I used copper but did not know if the copper might conduct the heat more and create an issue.

I used a brake line. It happened to be a VERY close green colour to the paint on the engine. I am sure it isn't correct but will remove it at a later time and remove the green coating on it but for now it functions very well.
