At one point, ribbons were presented at the Grand National to award winners that were in one of the newer age categories.

For example, my 1976 Coupe deVille (which was then owned by another CLC member) won a first place award in Primary at the 1989 GN in Newton, Massachusetts.  It received a ribbon rather than a plaque.  Also, under the rules then in effect, it did not receive a Senior Badge as a result of this win.
