Have any of you ever used a Bend Pak MD-6XP lift on something as large as a 1976 Eldorado?

When I measure the lift points,  I get 58” widthwise which this lift can accommodate, it's the 74” between lift points lengthwise that I'm unsure about, and obviously it must do both simultaneously. Anyway, if you could help verify it will work, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks, Dean

As long as you are catching the frame rails on each side it will work but I don't like the looks of that lift and I would never lay under the car on this lift.

Some tire shops use these but no one gets under the car.

I am of the firm belief that these types of hoists are for, and should be only used on, late-model vehicles with front wheel drive, a monocoque  construction, and with a solid roof.

Should never be used on Convertibles, especially larger Cadillacs.

Even a two-poster hoist shouldn't be used on a large Convertible.

Look at the Shop Manuals for our cars and the Factory recommends lacking and hoist points, and none of these are anywhere near the reaches of the scissors lifts that the tyre shops use.

That era Eldo requires you to shift the arms on a 2 post lift to get a decent balance.   I would be very worried with the type of lift in the photo that you would not be able to get it positioned properly because its already at its maximum extension just to reach the proper lift points.

Are you looking at this type of thing for just working on tires and or brakes?   Like others have said its not much good for anything else for various reasons.

Here is a recent thread where someone was asking about a low rise lift and where I talked about what I have which may be an option for some others.

I agree; I can just see a big car falling off that with a little jostling.  And
its certainly not suitable for things like transmission, etc underneath.
