Hey fellows ,I have to be realy be careful when changing gears or it will lock up,does anyone know the adjustment procedure or remedy?
Thanks

Steve Passmore

You have to make sure the levers are correctly pushed on their splines and done up tight on the bottom of the column first. There's a special little tool for that but it can be done without it with two people. Then the levers to the transmission have to be aligned correctly. That procedure should be in the workshop manual.

John Washburn CLC 1067 Sadly deceased.

The shop manual explains the procedure for adjusting. One is with the tool and the other is without it.

I have remade the tool which work well if you are interested.
