Anyone who may be in the tristate/NE are looking for a chrome shop?
I should be getting my rear bumper back from the chrome shop in a week or two. I will let y’all know how it turned out. Hidden little shop in NE Philly near the old prison.

Don’t cha mean Northeast Philly?

Last time I was at DGM was about 15 years ago. They did all my powder coating when I was building some bikes back then. Their work with the coating was flawless, although turn around time left something to be desired. Interested to hear what you have to say about their plating.

I used to use Paul's or Martin's, but started going to Space Coast in the past 10 years and have been happy. Wouldn't mind finding someone closer if they were reasonable. I need 2 E-Type bumpers done soon, so please give me a heads up on what you think....

Right now DGM is the go to guy around here.  I brought the bumpers for my 60 Seville to Frankford Plating more than 3 years ago and made the mistake of telling him that the car is all apart and I am not in a hurry.  Everytime I call he tells me 2 weeks.  Another 2 weeks.

I'll post again in 2 weeks...

Brian, after three years, I'd go pick them up. He might not even still have them after this amount of time and is saying "Give me another two weeks to find some..."

There is too much chance that where he's got them stashed he is "tripping over them" and becoming a nuisance and they're getting dropped, or scooted along the floor and making them worse than when you brought them in. Unless you have some personal connection with the guy, I'd find another shop.

The thing I don't understand is that he did another bumper for me in just a few weeks.  He lives NEAR me too so I know he won't rip me off.  I'll just start calling him every week.\

I have been using Pauls' Chrome for the past couple of years. I cannot say enough good things about their work.
