1960 heat riser - machined it

It’s in process at the moment but I thought some of you may enjoy seeing it.

I got tired of looking for one so made it. In the pic you can see mine fell apart. The counter wieght and spring were fine but the casting was completely disintegrated. I CAD modeled it and CNC machined it in stainless. I cut the shaft off for the butterfly, tapped it with 1/4” 20 threads and am about to drill a blind hole for screwing in the wieght. It will be non-functioning but correct looking. Well, once I paint it with cast coat.
