External oil filter for '39-'48 flathead V8?

I've seen these added on to any number of engines as an authentic / correct accessory. Could someone point me toward the preferred vendor(s), please? I've tried a few (won't mention by name) Cadillac restoration parts vendors and so far, no luck. Thanks.

My understanding is that these external oil filters on a 346 just filter only that oil going to the lifters

Not right.  It just grabs a small portion of the oil off the main header by using a very small hole in a fitting, filter that oil and return it to the crankcase.  I believe the very first flatheads used the scheme of filtering the oil to the lifters but Cadillac gave up on that idea. The bypass system was used well into the late 50's so I have to believe it had some merit. The late V-16's had a slight variation on this system.  They had a special fitting that grabbed the oil.  it had the small hole but they had a probe that went into the middle of the header.
