Hello friends,
Does anyone know where i may find a vendor for the vacuum tibes in my 56’s AM radio? Part number?
Radio comes on with clear sound- for about 15 seconds then quickly fades away to silence. Turn it off and back on, SAME THING AGAIN! Ugh!! Can anyone help here? Thanks folks

Are you sure the problem is the tubes?

The Vibrator is the most common item to fail in these.

It sounds like the rectifier unit, known as an OZ-4, is likely at fault.

Here are photos of the two tubes (both are 12V6), the rectifier (OZ-4), and the vibrator, which will be found in the power chassis portion of the radio.
