Hi all,

I’m in the process of rebuilding the heater and AC components of my 1960. I can’t figure out how the shafts of the doors that open and close to direct air flow come out. There doesn’t seem to be any type of clip and they don’t seem to just slide out. Can anyone offer any guidance?

Thanks!

G'day Trevor,

They are usually spot-welded to the shafts as the units are built.   Never designed to be dismantled and rebuilt, not like the early days.
