I have a 1963 Cadillac Series 62; 4 door sedan.
Does anybody know whether there is available a solid state electronic voltage regulator to fit my car please?
Reason for asking is that I am fitting electronic ignition and thought it would be a good idea to replace the electro-mechanical regulator fitted as standard.
(i have to say I've had no problem with the electro-mechanical type, I just thought it would be a good idea).
Thanks.

Standard products has one as does A/C Delco, Wells and BWD.

You might consider an internally regulated alternator a dozen years newer,
bolt in, no problems with parts or service.  I would get the basic size, not a
GIGANTIC alternator used in later years.  BUT you will need to remove the
external reg and some wires to hook it up.  Worked well for me, no radio
interference.  Bruce Roe
