Maybe a member here in the LA area might be able to help?  I'd offer my assistance but I'm in Phoenix and I'd need to fly there.

The CLC does not officially provide any such
service.  However, I've seen it happen that if a
fellow member lives in the area they may volunteer
to have a look at the car for you.

It would help if you gave more information about
the year, model make (Cadillac or LaSalle) to
let prospective members know what they'll see.

Description

"1959 Cadillac sedan $27k, love the car but don't have room for it. The car spent most of its life in Southern California. The body is straight and no rust. had the paint cleaned and polished. The paint is shiny, but is very old with several small chips and blemishes. All exterior chrome and trim are present and in good original condition. The interior is very clean and a combination of good original components. The dash, door panels and headliner are original. had the front and rear seats completely restored with all new seat foam and correct upholstery sewn to the original pattern. This was very expensive! also got new Cadillac crest floor mats, new door weatherstripping and new roof rail weatherstripping. Currently, the car is in very good running and driving condition. Here is a list of all the mechanical work performed:
-complete tune-up & oil change
-rebuilt carburetor
-installed all new brakes, wheel cylinders & master cylinder
-installed all new dual exhaust with new mufflers and resonators
-new radial white wall tires
-cooling system flush & service with new thermostat, coolant and freeze plugs
-transmission service with new fluid
-new valve cover gaskets
-new battery
-new hood insulation"

I would say send or make a list of things you want me to check out up close or listen to.

I would also ask for the VIN so you can decode it and figure what all it should have. I can also check the VIN or take a pic for you to compare on the title.
