I'm cleaning up a 1935 LaSalle motor so I ordered the green engine paint from Bill Hirsch.....

Does this green look right?.....I envisioned more of a pea green, this is more forest green...darker than I thought it should be....

Also in the oil pan, I found what looks like a valve retainer clip....I haven't done a compression test yet.....I have the side covers off and the valve springs look ok.....maybe this is a previous repair that lost a clip?....do I have a problem?

GREAT catch on that valve lock. Hope there is no damage.

The Hirsch green is correct. I've seen the "pea green" on cars but it is not accurate.

Now I'm off to find out where that valve clip came from...
