Hello everyone!

I currently have a 1937 Cadillac LaSalle finished in Briarcliff Blue that is in the process of being fully restored, we're so close to the final product ! One of the last things I need in order to fully complete this restoration is a set of the chrome hood lettering spelling "La Salle" on each side of the hood. Recently, I've been browsing these forums in search of the full set of letters, but through my search, I've come to realize that these letters are extremely hard to come by. I've been searching for about month and have called multiple people about this, all with no luck.

Can anyone help me and my search for these rare letters?

Thank you all!

I don't think I have any extra letters but will look again. I sent mine to a water jet cutting company and they said they're too small to copy. I wanted to make a few sets for people just like you who couldn't find them. Then I heard from a club member (and must not have filed his reply) showing he made a set with a jeweler's saw, files and lots of patience. He used brass sheet and was able to silver solder tabs on the back for attachment. I'd guess it would take a couple of days' work to cut and hand file 14 letters but I'm just too busy to take the project on. There's no doubt the letters can be made but they're going to be pricey if you don't do them yourself.
