Hello, My girlfriend and I booked a trip to Arizona next month and we are just about ready to book a car to rent. At first we were going to go with enterprise rent-a-car and then someone told me about an app "Turo" which connects you with people who are willing to rent their car out to you. Naturally I wanted to see what Cadillacs are available. There is a 2017 ATS 2.0 Turbo, and a 2011 CTS coupe, both are reasonably priced. I would like to rent the ATS because I do see myself buying one someday.  This got me thinking, if there are any club members in Arizona who would be willing to rent their caddy out for 5 days.  I'm well experienced in driving classics as well as modern Cadillacs.  Otherwise If anyone can recommend a way I can rent a Cadillac on this trip it would be much appreciated. (Otherwise I'll be stuck with some generic Toyota)

TOny,

THat sounds like a great idea.  Hoping a CLC member accommodates you, and that you have a great vacation. James

While personally I'd be okay with someone driving my car with me present I cringe at the idea of someone taking my Cadillac off for a week without me being there.  I'm sure someone can help out but I personally don't see where this is a good idea.  If it gets wrecked, stolen, etc and your not listed as a covered person that owner is SOL.

What about Hagerty Drive Share?   Search Phoenix (or other city where you will pick up the rental) and a nice variety show with a daily rate.

Hagerty Drive Share would be a great idea, but not too many cadillacs on there in Phoenix.

When I was in Scottsdale around 5 years ago, I never saw so many late model Cadillacs on the road...

I have lived in Scottsdale for the last 25 years and I know of nobody who rents out old Cadillacs. Summer is a busy season here for tourist and since covid seems to be some what under control, more and more families are now visiting our state. Rental cars are in demand so I think it might be wise to reserve your rental car now before you might not be able get a desired car to rent.   Enjoy your trip to our beautiful state.     Bill
