Hello,
I recently converted my 1951 Cadillac Series 62 to a 12 volt system.
Could anyone tell me if i could use 1953 dashboard gauges (fuel, temp oil) in my 51 Cadillac?
Would the 53 gauges fit the 1951 dashboard configuration?
If yes, where could I find the 53 replacements?

Thanks,

Poncholover

Ford used 6V gauges into the '70s. Just use one on their OEM resistor thingies.

I did use reducers (resistors) and they worked for a while.
I read online the brand I used allegedly fails....seems that way.

I was talking to a friend yesterday, and he had the same problem.   The first resistor lasted 2 weeks, the next one a couple of days, and the third one, no problems.
