1931 horn button

Can someone tell me how to remove the burn button from the light/throttle assembly?  I have the part out of the steering wheel but don't know how to pull the button.

Here's a cross section diagram from the Master Parts list (assuming I successfully attached it).  I think you have to take the hub mechanism apart to get to the horn button and remove it.  I hope that helps.
