I have a 1959 Cadillac Deville and would like to purchase a master parts list for my car.  The ones I see on the internet cover a range of years.  Is it better to get one that is like 1954-1959, or one that is 1959-1965?   Are the reproduction books good, clear reproductions?  If you have a recommendation for a particular one, and the supplier, please tell me.

Thank you,

Hi, I checked what is available on eBay and suggest you get the books with the dark red covers. I have the 1941-1947 MPB from that publisher and the pages are crisp and easy to read. You may find some "changed" part #s but GM did this from time to time. But generally, these books will be of great help to you. Good luck.

Thank you for the response, Barry!  That is just what I needed to know.  It will be nice to have illustrations to look at, for various sub-assemblies, and be able to know what various parts are called, so as to find replacements when needed.

I am interested in the 1959 parts list also. Is there one just for the 1959 models?

I like to get the next year version so the updated parts are there, but still normally showing the correct number for the year on the part you looking for.  I have a 1960 MPL and that is the book I use the most.  I also have 56, 63.  I have the Eldorado Brougham ones as well since that is the only place those parts show up.

In your case, look for 1960 MPL and be ready to spend as these books can be expensive.  I paid $100 or more for my 60 copy and thought that was a bargain.  Whatever the cost, you will not regret having the book.
