The interior lights on my 1962 work when I twist the dashboard headlamp switch to the left, but the lights dont come on when I open either front door.  However, when I play with the plunger in the door jamb, and twist it a little, the lights come on.  Anyone knowledgeable about how to fix that plunger switch in the door jamb????
Thanks,

Sure, all they do is make a ground connection.  Just unscrew the switch and pull the wire connector off.  If its broken, you should be able to get them at any auto parts store.  If its just corroded, you can clean it.  Press the plunger and clean it with a wire brush and some contact cleaner.

Often, the problem is that the switch itself has a poor ground connection to the body. Pull the switch out, use emery cloth or sandpaper to clean the metal around the rim of the hole and on the switch housing. smear some di-electric grease around the switch and stuff it back in the hole. I did this just two days ago on my 61, and the drivers side switch works fine now.
