lasalle trans?

have a three speed trans number 58 on side of it inspection cover is on the bottem of it. with in closed drive shaft in great shap my friend sayed it was a lasalle trans can you help me troy in calif  if so email or call 209-604-7125 thank you

Troy,

Both Cadillac and LaSalle changed from floor shifers to column shifters in 1938.

So if you have a tranny that is not a top shifter, it will fit Cadillacs 1938 up to 53 when they last made a manual transmission. For LaSalle (same tranny) goes from 1938 to 1940.

If it is an earlier top shifter we need a little more info.
