I do not find an illustration in any of the manuals...1)How does the welded tab on the fuel filler neck (at top) fasten to the rear fender? Does a bolt go through the fender directly into the captive nut in the tab or is there another mounting bracket? Any rubber bushings? 2)The master chassis manual references a fuel vent hose - is that correct? if so where is it?/ thanks

The tab on the filler neck has the captive nut, as you say. The tip fin housing that covers the filler neck has a sheet metal base piece that bolts to the top of the fender. There is a gasket between the fender and that base piece. You will find a hole in the base piece where a bolt (1/4-20 thread?)  goes through and picks up the tab on the filler neck. The bolt hole is immediately forward of the filler neck hole.  That, and the coupling hose at the tank are the support that the filler neck has. The filler cap is vented, and there isnt a vent hose on the tank.
