While reading the latest Street Rodder magazine I came across some information on a company called BESTgasket. They have a two piece rubber rear main seal available for many 50s engines including 49 and up Cadillac engines. The success rate is about 90percent due to the tolerances allowed with rope seals.
Has anyone tried their products? They sell thru Terrill Machine, Egge amd many other vintage car suppliers.
