The heater control valve on a 1960 is actually installed as part of the heater core.

Are these available or is a repair kit available?

What an odd set up.

These are available rebuilt from the usual suspects, and  there are a couple of guys in Hemmings who will rebuild yours.  I needed one in a couple of years ago, and got a rebuilt one from Caddy Daddy. I forget the price, but it was competitive with other sources.  I chose him because I wasxun a hurry and he is close by.
