Speak for yourselves!  I, too, recall these colorful cars, but Cadillac and LaSalle were ALWAYS in the "Vangard of Fashion" when it came to color.  After all, the 1928 catalog touted it.  For years, Cadillac not only set THE trend in automotive styling, but color as well.  1956 Mountain Laurel pink was a Cadillac exclusive whose impact has never waned.  Purchased by Mary Kay cosmetics, this is still the plus-ultimate of colors. Pastel greens, blues pinks, yellows; DEEP, lustrous extra-cost Firemist blues, grays, maroons, silvers and golds EXCLUSIVE to Cadillac; two-toned exteriors well into the 1980s with matching vinyl tops!  All that and standard OR dElegance interiors in velvet or leather...  Naturally, these fashionable cars were discarded once the trend did, but they were every bit a reliable Cadillac.  An engine is EASY to replace; a body and interior are not!
