The Cadillac crest looks strange, and quite different from my own hubcaps. Is it another of those "Cadillac-like" items described in the database ?

It is currently on eBay : http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/VERY-NICE-1951-1952-CADILLAC-HUBCAP-WHEEL-COVER_W0QQitemZ180118435114QQihZ008QQcategoryZ140745QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Philippe, it looks that way to me... a knock off.  It is similar with the crown at the top, shield and birds (Merlinettes) but it is not the proper colors or formation.  A fake sombrero that may be bought at a third party parts house.   That is what it looks like to me.  And if that is from 1951-52, I would be surprised.  It looks too new.  The color of the metal is all wrong.  But that is just my impression.  :D

Definitely a "fake" or "lookalike".  Check:

philippe, I don't believe that Cadillac ever made a "hub-Cap" like the one shown. G.Brown, no it is not a Kaiser and/or Fraserhub cap.
I think it is a Cadillac want-a-be, or, made by a compancy that made several replacement hub-caps to be used in sets of 4. HTH
