Is it possible to put the trunk lock in an unlocked position and remove the key?
The key can only be removed from the lock in the locked position in my car and
I am unsure this is normal.

Thanks

Mike, that's a neat little feature on the 41 & other cars of that era. Saves having to unlock it every time. Bob

Thanks bob.
I assume you are indicating that it is possible to unlock the trunk and remove the key.
Must mean that my lock is defective.

Hi Mike, I misread your post. I thought you could remove it the UN locked position. You're right you should be able to do that, hence my first reply. Good luck, Bob

To Clarify the above, the only position of the lock that the key is removable is the locked position.
