YOKES ON ME NOW. NEED TO ID 16 SPLINE YOKE

AS ALL OF US HAVE DONE. WE GATHER TO MUCH STUFF TO QUICKLY AND DO NOT LABEL THIS STUFF. THEN TIME GOES BY AND NOW WE PLAY THE WHAT IS THAT OFF OF GAME??? AS WITH THIS YOKE. IT HAS 16 SPLINES 1.625 OUTSIDE DIAMETER 1.375 INSIDE... PLEASE SEE THE PICTURES ARMA STEEL,6412 IMBOSSED WITH A BIG "X". CAN ANYONE IDENTIFY. THIS MIGHT BE OFF A 1958 CADILLAC WITH A JETAWAY. I JUST DONT REMEMBER THE YOKE HAVING A COLLARD SHIELD. WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS.

Usually the yoke is at the end of the drive shaft. I see no drive shaft on your pictures...Was the drive shaft cut?

Definitely looks cut to me. 1954 Olds with Hydromatic used a 16 spline with 1.375ID, not sure if this is it or not.

ROGER, THE DRIVE SHAFT WAS BENT. SO THE YOKE WAS JUST CUT OFF.

GOOD SUGGESTION ON THE OLDS. I SPENT SOMEMORE TIME LOOKING INTO TE 49-54 OLDS TRANSMISIONS ON THE WEB. IT APPEARS TO MATCH. BUT THE OLDS HAS NO SHIELD. WHICH LEAD ME TO A IMAGE OF A 38 LASALLE. BUT THAT IS STILL NOT THE SAME.

Maybe I'm not too clever...What do you want to do with that junk? reweld it on another drive shaft? I'm rather conservative with parts, but sometime its better to scap them!

Sure the yoke can be refitted onto another driveshaft tube. Or just the yoke can be reused. If your driveshaft is missing this is gold. Some people use them to store a transmission. keeps the fluid inside without it leaking.
