Every once in a while someone asks if there is an "assembly manual" for their car.  I've never seen one for any year but apparently there are some available --- at least for certain years.
Here is one for 1949 Cadillacs, a reprint from Faxon --- eBay item #162099877979 (put the number in the eBay SEARCH box).
And another for 1939 Cadillacs, eBay item #162694166518
There may be others available, I have not researched it further.
