Can someone give me a tip?
I have been looking for Rockers strips GM part#1437095
to my 1940 Lasalle 50Series for a long time
Who manufactured them from the beginning?
Are there other cars with moldings that you can probably redo?
I am grateful for any information about these very rare moldings.

Hans,
They are impossible. Northfield Forming might have  reproduced them??

Hello Hans, you contacted me several years ago looking for these parts. I have not forgotten about your search. I keep you in mind when pictures of parts cars and parts for sale posts pop up on these forums.

As Bob Hoffman suggested --- these folks made the running board trim for my '35 Cadillac several years ago, very nice quality, takes them a while.

Many thanks for the great help!
I will call Northfeld on Monday.
If anyone has an email address to Northfield forming, please send it to me.

My take is that Northfield is an old timey outfit, they do not have a website that I could find, nor do they have an email address.  Tough from overseas but I think you are stuck with snail mail or the telephone.
I say all that because now that I have said it someone will come up with an email straightaway.

Hmmm, looks like they have changed their product line --- or added to it.  Seem to remember there was someone on these forums a while ago desperately looking for correct running board rubber for a restoration.

Unfortunately they do not offer anything Cadillac or Lasalle. The current Northfield supplies runningboard rubber where the original mat was glued to the top of the runningboard. The sides are painted. He makes the mat from a mold. The guys in Canada restore the style where the rubber covers all 4 sides of the metal board. They do not use molds in their process. My 1940 Lasalle is the latter style.
