I just learned something - literally 2 minutes ago the Goodyear Blimp flew over my house.  There is a lighted sign on the side and so what did I learn?

1.  Goodyear Blimps are celebrating their 80th birthday this month and

2.  There are 21 people on the Blimp.

Interesting trivia to learn sitting on my back porch.

FYI - I am in SE Michigan - I am assuming that the Blimp is on the way to the Palace for the Pistons Game.  Thats basketball for those non-sports enthusiasts.  The only reason I know that is the darn radio stations wont stop talking about the game.

The Goodyear Blimp is headed to Michigan International Speedway for the Nascar Race this weekend.   The Palace is indoors, I doubt the Blimp could help except with traffic conditions!
