Title: 46 Cadillac Temp Guage
Post by: farmer on February 07, 2008, 01:28:37 PM
Does anyone out there know the correct resistance reading on the temp sender at room temp on a 1946  flathead?  My temp gauge reads just on scale at the low side at 200 deg. F.  The service manual says in that case the wire on the left side of the gauge is broken, but I can find no evidence of that after dismantling the gauge.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  I even tried hooking up a twelve volt battery to the sender/gauge combo but the result was the same.
