Looking for advice with regards as to where to mount an Airtex auxiliary electric fuel pump on my 1949 Club Coupe.  As I see it, I have a few options where it could be mounted as a "flow through" auxiliary pump.  John Washburn had recommended that I install one "just in case"...I sure do miss his mentorship!

It looks like it would fit:
1. Above the fuel tank between the rear frame cross member (above the axle) and the shock.  Although this seems like an easy location, it definitely puts the pump above the tank.
2. Along the frame rail between the rear-most two body mount brackets.  This puts the pump close to and below the tank, however there is a bend in the frame rail here and isn't "neat and clean".
3. Along the frame rail across from the trans/driveshaft u-joint in the center of the frame.  This is a nice straight run, nice and neat, but puts the pump halfway from the tank to the engine...although I'm not sure it really matters.

Awesome Jim! Thanks so much for your help.  It is so nice to have some peace of mind before I started cutting into the new fuel line knowing that it has a good chance of success!  The pictures are perfect.  I was able to take pictures from the top...because the body isn't ready to put back on the frame yet.  This aux fuel pump is the last item to complete my rolling chassis though!

Got it installed...Nice and neat!
