Hello all,
I have a 1940 series 60S that I purchased last winter and have been working on a poor man's restoration. The exterior is done (sort of, remember the word poor? chrome is not re-plated) and now am working on the engine and under the dash. (love standing on my head!) I have an immediate need of a passenger side defroster outlet (why is that missing?). Also under the dash the back of the radio is missing. Also the body shop lost the bezel and nut that secured the antenna. need that too.
Future wish list includes putting back in a vacuum antenna (plumbing is there) and replacing the carter carb that is stuffed on the top of the engine with the proper Stromberg. Any help or direction in locating these odd parts will be appreciated. And to brag a bit, here are a couple of photos after stripping an essentially rust free car and paint.

Thanks to all input,
Rob

Rob, Welcome. The car looks good, especially like the color combo.     Harry

Thanks for the compliment, it did turn out nice. When I got it it was 2 tone gray. I decided to put it back to the original color combo. Once I get the sidemounts on and the wheels painted, it'll even look better. Now I need to chase down all of these gremlins and missing parts. But I got the clock running tonight!

I seem to remember I may have a defroster outlet somewhere in my stores but I'm a long way from you.

Steve,
Now that's a tease! (OK if all else fails including trying to make one with fiberglass, how much with shipping?) This is the part I need to begin the reassembly of my defroster core and dash. By the way, any tips on making sure the distorted copper tubes from 75 years of hose clamps will not leak again when i put the heater hoses back on? Or how not to distort them again?

I fixed one once by cutting off the distorted piece and soldering a new piece of copper to it??   I'll look through my junk tomorrow for the outlet but its been a long time.

Steve,
The soldering of a new piece is a great idea, I actually have the materials on hand to do this.
Thanks,

I found the defroster outlet, Don't know what side its for but I don't think they are handed anyway. Did anyone in the US help you out?
