Title: 1939 Cadillac Series 61 convertible.
Post by: dennisspeaks on December 22, 2023, 10:44:21 PM
Well I had a road trip today to my friend's 39 convertible and struck a deal, I had to have it.  She is going to need some work but is pretty solid.  It's been sitting in their barn since 1990 and are going to dig out some pictures of his dad and his kids in it.  He bought it in 1970 and drove it up until 1990.

My main goal right now is to get her home after the holidays, road worthy and start restoration while I have some fun, mainly local car shows, cruises and parades.

Thanks Santa!

Merry Christmas to all!

Pretty solid? In a restoration thread? This car looks close to brand new to me, Congrats to have found a car of your dream in the best possible condition. Please take care of it with gentle caution.

A merry one to you and everybody else.

Greetings from Sweden / Johan

LOL dogbergs, well this is the roughest car I have bought in the past 20 years and the only one I have considered buying of this vintage.  Yes it has some work to get it to where I want it to be, if it were a serious project I would have passed.

Thank you and happy holidays to ya from USA,

Lol thanks.  Looking forward to getting her home.  Too bad I wasn't interested all the other times he asked me to buy it it would be road worthy but the main thing I snapped out of it and woke up.

Merry Christmas 🎅
