Title: 1960 Rotary Vacuum Valve WTB
Post by: Thor on November 16, 2012, 08:26:27 PM
Hi Gang:

I am in need of the rotary vacuum valve found in a 1960 A/C dash panel - it's the one on the left with 3 nipples and has a spring on a post to make it track the main control lever cam profile.

The original valve was very sticky, and I broke off the post without realizing that it should have been lubed first (D'oh!)   :o

The valve looks to be made of zinc, and I wonder if the same part was used in other GM brands like Chevy, etc..

Thanks for your help.

Just reading this. Hi Thor, This is Gr. 54.6415 Control valve, # 7274141. It's the same valve used on the other side.
Used for 59-60 AC cars -  all and 61-62 series 75 and CC only . HTH, Jeff
