Years ago, a customer wanted a vinyl roof for his Cadillac. I ordered it by USA Parts Supply and...nothing happened. I reorder it, still nothing. Even if I don't like to phone oversea, I did it. The person at the other end remember my order but he said: we want a sample. I said that the car was delivered new without vinyl roof, therefore, I cannot send a sample and the customer would accept any style. It went that way for a wile (broken record style) until I hang up. I ordered the roof by another place without issue.
Since that day, bye-bye USA Parts supply. I'm glad they are gone.

They must have paid the domain fee in advance. No credit on that. It could last for a while until it expires.

Assuming an AC compressor here. Mine 'froze' (ripped off the belt) and obviously had to be replaced. Right next door to Hyannis Vintage Auto is an auto HVAC shop. Owner ordered me another one (refurb from his preferred supplier), it was there in 2 days, installed on the 3rd, and the correct 'Fridgidaire' sticker from the now defunct USA Parts Supply attached.

Haha!,  :P

My 1970 Fleetwood Brougham also suffered a seized (that's the correct word) compressor way back; tore the belts and nearly ripped through the upper radiator hose as well.   >:(

As for USA Parts Supply, they were good in the late 90 - early 2000s but less so as time went on.

I've been trying to call for 3 days, now I know why. I ordered a new climate control head from them a few weeks ago. I was trying to call because I want to return the old one for the core deposit, but they included no packing slip or return directions. I guess they knew what was coming.

Anyone know a place that rebuilds these and might want to buy my old one?

It's out of a 1983 Coupe deVille with rear defroster. It only functions when it feels like it and is only good for a rebuild or parts.

Try "Cadillac cars and parts for sale" on Facebook. Lots of sellers of more 'modern' Caddy parts.
Research the seller through the page, people are brutally honest there.

Is there any update with them? I placed an order around April 10th and received a reply that my payment was received on April 12th. Since then, I've heard nothing. I've emailed both Mike and the general email address and gotten no replies. Both phone numbers go to mailboxes that are full. I'm hoping I can get a refund through PayPal.

Thanks Mods for merging the two topics both discussing the status of USA Parts.

caddyorganist - You might consider starting actions to dispute the charge on your credit card.

Looks like their Bankruptcy Docket was updated yesterday.  I don't have access to the filings though so can't read the details.

Enjoy life - it has an expiration date.

This action has nothing to do with the Rick Smith purchase, this has more to do with several private investors in USA PARTS SUPPLY. Anything that has to do with the Rick Smith purchase is separate and not included in this decision of the Bankruptcy Court.
